Step It Up also offers ongoing personal and professional development for our team on an ongoing basis to ensure that every single client of ours gets the professional service that is expected from a fitness professional.

All of our trainers have specialisations cater to general health and fitness goals such as weight loss, motivation, improved fitness and toning.

Spencer

Spencer Wright - Training Director
Spencer started working with a personal trainer at the age of 14, developing a love and drive for the industry. Two weeks after finishing grade 12 at John Paul College, Spencer started studying to be a qualified personal trainer. After completing his studies Spencer began mobile personal training and opened the first Step It Up Personal Training studio from his parents converted living room. After his own rapid growth Spencer opened Step It Up at Daisy Hill and currently works and develops a magnificent team of personal trainers.

Jon


Jonathon Ruhle – Sport Scientist

Jon has worked with a wide range of people including those who are injured or disabled through to Olympic Athletes. He first focuses on indentifying and rectifying any imbalances in the body, which allows him to push his clients further and faster in the long run without the risk of injury. He can cater for anyone, including those looking for strength, muscle or weight loss results and looks at how you can improve your lifestyle or ability in sport.

Specialisations: Rehabilitation, pregnancies, sports training and structural balance.

Joe


Joe Fisher - Fitness Specialist/Athlete Support Services

Joe has completed his Diploma of Sport and Diploma of Fitness. He is very active in sports and this passion and his competitive edge shows in his training. Joe is also a qualified health assessor with My Life health and this allows him to accurately test many aspects of a clients fitness including body composition and metabolism. He specialises in clients who are seeking Sports Performance training and also enjoys working with people wanting to push themselves to the next level. Joe also offers sports massage

Specialisations: Sports training, core/abdominal toning, running, stability and balance.

Lachlan

Lachlan Beech - Personal Trainer
Lachlan has been involved in the sporting and fitness industry for several years and is now focusing his passion towards helping others achieve their health and fitness goals. Lachlan is qualified through fitness industry training and sees himself as a tough, but fair trainer who will get the most out of every session. 

Specialisations: Body composition, including muscle gain and strength.

Maree Simpsom – Personal Trainer

Maree has embarked on her own weight loss and fitness journey along with her family after realising the gradual weight gain and lack of exercise from her partner and children. “I decided to do something about it and set out to lead by example and much to my surprise, with a few small changes, the weight started to shrink away and we became fitter and felt better for it, we also became closer as a family unit by sharing our experience.”

Specialisations: Women’s needs, mobile training, muscle growth and body sculpting.

Johannes Yau - Personal Trainer

Johannes is a relaxed, easy going trainer who believes in making every workout session fun and enjoyable, while still challenging his clients to ensure they achieve their goals within their desired timeframe. He aims to help boost his client’s self-esteem and confidence by assisting them to achieve goals that they once thought where impossible.

Specialisations: General fitness and strength training.

Tara Copedo – Personal Trainer
Tara has been involved in fitness and sports for many years reaching both National and International levels. To her, personal training is not just a job but a way of life and Tara takes an extremely high interest in helping people to live a healthy lifestyle through exercise and diet. Tara believes that with goal setting anything is possible and with determination you can turn your weaknesses into your strengths.
